Insert Menu Commands

You can insert various types of component and function library steps using the following Insert menu commands:

Sl No	Command	Shortcut Key	Function
1	Checkpoint > Standard Checkpoint	F12	Opens the Checkpoint Properties dialog box, enabling you to create a standard checkpoint for an object.
2	Output Value > Standard Output Value	Ctrl+F12	Opens the Output Value Properties dialog box, enabling you to create a standard output value for an object.
3	Step Generator	F7	Opens the Step Generator. (Relevant only for function libraries)
4	Function Definition Generator		Opens the Function Definition Generator. (Relevant only for function libraries)
5	New Step	F8; Insert	Inserts a new step in the Keyword View.
6	Operation		Inserts an operation (function) step in a component.
7	Comment		Inserts a Comment step in the Keyword View.

Some of the Insert menu commands are also available from the Insert toolbar.
